A Mendix investment has two parts: the platform licence and the development/consulting service. The licence is priced by Mendix according to user numbers and application scope, and we determine the most suitable model together. On the development side we work with sprint-based development or monthly advisory models depending on the scope. In the first call we present a clear budget framework for both parts.

No. In most scenarios Mendix does not replace your existing systems (ERP, CRM, databases, identity management). It builds an application layer that works integrated on top of them. We connect to SAP, Exchange, analytics platforms and corporate identity infrastructure through ready connectors and APIs. A rewrite from scratch only comes up for applications that have reached end of life, and as a separate assessment.

An enterprise Mendix application is usually delivered with 1–3 developers, a markedly smaller team than traditional development. Our typical staffing is one solution architect and, depending on scope, 1–2 Mendix developers. On your side, a business unit representative who owns the process and one IT contact for integrations is enough.

If you wish, we involve your team in the project and plan knowledge transfer from the start through training and pair development.
